Privacy Policy

tldr;

Your social profiles and settings are stored on your device. We do not send the contents of your social feeds, messages to our analytics service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Social websites still receive information when you use them. App analytics, crash diagnostics, purchase information, website requests and anything you choose to send to support are handled as described below.

Information stored on your device

Dumb Feed stores your preferences, the cookies and website data needed to keep each social profile separate.

Sign-in happens on the social service’s website; we do not collect your social account passwords. Feed filtering runs on your device. Statistics and browsing histories are kept on your device.

Social websites

Dumb Feed loads third-party websites, including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube.

Those services and their login providers receive the requests you make, including your IP address, relevant cookies and anything you submit to them - just like if you were to access them via their own app or website. Their own privacy policies apply to their collection and use of information.

App analytics

We use Amplitude and Firebase Analytics to understand use of the app and improve it.

These analytics are not linked to your social account names or passwords. We do not include post contents, messages, captions, social profile URLs, search text or login cookies in analytics.

Crash diagnostics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to understand crashes and fix bugs.

Crash reports can include installation identifiers, app and device information, operating-system versions, crash stack traces and diagnostic information about the app’s state when an error occurs.

We do not include social account details or feed contents in crash reports.

Purchases

Apple handles billing for subscriptions and lifetime purchases made through the App Store.

Purchase information, such as the product bought, subscription or access status, is used to provide paid features and restore purchases.

We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage paid access. It processes purchase and subscription history. Your social account passwords, messages and feed contents are not needed for this service.

Feedback and support

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, recordings or attachments. We use it to respond, investigate issues and improve Dumb Feed.

We use Help Scout for help documentation and support, and Tally for feedback forms. Those services process submitted information and the technical information needed to operate their pages.

Our website

We use Google Analytics to understand visits to our website and improve it.

It uses cookies and processes information such as pages visited, interactions, referral sources, browser and device information.

Data deletion

Local profile data remains until you log out, remove the profile or delete the app.

Removing a profile in Dumb Feed does not delete the account held by the social service. Local settings and statistics remain while the app retains its data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Dumb Feed changes. The date below shows the latest revision. Where required, we will give additional notice or seek consent for material changes.
